Overview:
Anson Family Dentistry is looking for a Full Time Dental Assistant II with minimum 2 years of experience. Nitrous oxide certification and Coronal polishing is a plus. Experience with Open Dental is great, but we are willing to train. Come join us at our privately owned, one doctor practice. Monday - Thursday.
Monday- Wednesday 7:45-4:30 and Thursdays 7:34-3:30
Pay is based on experience.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant II to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about dentistry and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program
- X-ray certification required
- Proficiency in Open Dental software preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and medical imaging techniques
- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
